Of Dew Drops and Rainbows
Okay, everybody knows what Mountain Dew is. Most people have also heard of its first spinoff, Code Red.
Last summer, Mountain Dew launched a promo drink, LiveWire. It was successful enough to be brought back this summer, something I'm very pleased about. BUT... it's also brought out two, yes TWO more spinoffs recently! First is Baja Blast, a "Tropical Lime" flavored Dew, available only at Taco Bell. And, in case that wasn't enough for people, they released (or are releasing) a special Halloween Dew entitled Pitch Black, which is supposedly black grape flavored.
I've had Baja Blast, and it's okay, but I'm really looking forward to the Pitch Black. My worry is that it'll just be a tease, and they'll take it away just a few months after it's introduced. Pepsi is famous for stealing some of its tastier drinks from the public (Josta... ;_;) so I have reason to be worried.
Oh... I almost forgot the Mountain Dew Slurpee flavor, Blue Shock, which was only available last summer. Pepsi is inundating us with a rainbow of Dew... and for the moment (while a good portion of the colors are still available), I can't say I'm complaining. ^_^
