What a day? Where to begin?
Counseling, there. Yeah, I've been going to counseling, except this time it just might actually be helpful to me. I've been able to get a lot of things off my chest that have literally been there for years. Unfortunately, that also meant opening up a lot of old wounds. We'll see how it goes.
Afterwards, I went to the comic shop, caught up on the storylines in my favorite titles (except for Green Lantern, which ticked me off considering the Sinestro Corps storyline kicks off next month and I want to be up to speed (kudos to anyone who understands what the heck I'm talking about)). I also bought the next issue of the Fallen Son miniseries, focusing on the five stages of greif as the Marvel Universe deals with Captain America's death. This issue focused on the third stage Bargaining, which showed Iron Man trying to make a deal to(in a way) bring Cap back, but it ends up backfiring on him. Once again, my favorite writer Jeph Loeb proves he understands these characters. Can't wait for the next issue (Depression) focusing on SPIDER-MAN!! Hehe.
Once I left the shop I went home and did...well I did nothing really until three, where I had a job interview at On the Border. It was funny. I walked in and saw I guy standing in the back and I thought. "Hey, that looks like Brandon." Upon closer inspection, I realized, "huh, it is Brandon. Neat." Yeah, I know no one says neat anymore but whatever. Anyway, I hope I end up working there; it'd be nice to already have a buddy at work.
As for the rest of the day it was pretty uneventful. Since I saw Brando we'll probably end up hanging out together soon. Seems like I can't remember the last time I hung out with a friend as opposed to job hunting or going to the Y to swim.
