DO NOT SHOP AT LINENS N THINGS!
I know they are going out of business, I know they have some "good deals" but after suffering first hand from them and loosing money, I've been reading up on all sorts of complaints from consumers and it is in my opinion that to save you from the headaches we have had, to not even attempt to shop there!!
Duncan and I decided to "hit the sales" and we needed a new sharp knife set, our old one was at least 10 years old and couldn't cut butter to save its life. So we purchased an *orignally priced 69.99* item for 40% off. Once we got home however we noticed that someone had switched out nearly all the good knives with the cheap *originally priced 19.99* set of knives. So we took it back to the store. The receipt *which was never given to us but re-printed* stated that it was no returns, no exchanges all sales final. But how fair is that to us when the goods in the box were not what was stated on the outside of the box. The ass. manager told us basicly they weren't going to do anything for us. She refused to tell us her name, but I got it off the internet, as well as the store managers name. Thank you linkedin.
We are going to be sending a compalint to the attorney general, the BBB and notifying everybody we can, radio stations, consumer reporting agencies, tv stations, and anybody who will listen. We will aslo be disputing the charges with our bank.
They don't care who they rip off, they don't care if you purchase an expensive defective product from them. They will take your money and you get screwed in the end!
