Everybody's searching for something, they say

Who: All Civilians! If your arrival post hasn't been completed, you're still welcome to post. Eeeeveryone.
What: Social post! Music.
Where: The Civilian Base
When: Thursday, Week 5. After the Pirate glitch has worn off.
Notes: Party-style post! You don't have to interact with Pink at all. Just make a tag, and everyone tag to whoever they want to play with. Time to build some unit cohesion. :)

At some point, the whole pirate thing wore off. Which was just wonderful, wasn't it?

Wonderful enough to call for... well, not really a party, but. Some kind of celebration.

Pink was happy to facilitate that. He'd been working on something, in his little hidey-hole in the mall-turned-base (a music store, of course, most of the stock non-flammable and not easily weaponised, and thus relatively untouched by the looting that had ravaged some of the other stores). A project. He wasn't great at this war thing, Pink, but he had one or two things he was good at. Like mid-20th-century music technology.

So at some point in the afternoon of that glorious day they all got their voices back, he descended into whatever passed as a common meeting-place in the base, hauling a turntable that looked as though it had been cracked open and put back together with duct tape. Then hurried back to the music store, returning again with a couple of dusty speakers. And once more, with an armful of vinyl albums. The availability of electricity on the base had been a pleasant surprise to him, but one he wasn't going to complain about now. He'd asked and gotten Commander V's approval for this, and damned if he wasn't going to enjoy the opportunity.

He hooked up the record player and the speakers, taking certain, professional care in making sure everything stayed together.

And he took a record from the pile, and put it on. Jazz, first. Start with some jazz, and see how that went. Nothing too new, nothing protest-y.
