(no subject)
Got 516 words in yesterday bringing my total up to 5201, so providing I can keep this at or under 10,000 words I’m officially passed the halfway point, and story wise things are moving along, my intention, this being a sword and sorcery tale and all is pick up the pace and ratchet up the action making things worse and worse on my protagonist before the big finish. Let’s hope I can pull it off.
Kat and I had a very nice Valentines evening last night we went out to Taj Palace, an Indian place we both like, were planning on ordering some murg madras which is a very spicy curry dish, but they had this special buffet last night, at first I was a little put off by the buffet idea, I’m fine with buffets but not for a nice evening out type of meal, turned I was wrong, their special buffet was amazing, and we had a very nice time though I ate too much.
Afterwards we curled up on the couch and watched some movies. We watched “Just Like Heaven” which was your typical chick-flick, romantic comedy, and despite being the type of movie where you knew everything that was gonna happen in the first five minutes, I enjoyed it. We also watched “Dungeons Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God” which was unintentionally funnier than the romantic comedy. It was better than the first D&D movie, I’ll give it that, but considering Amnesty Intentional should probably target the first movie as part of their war against torture, it’s not saying much that it did. I liked that they made references to old modules, and I like that one of the PC’s got killed and others got wounded, especially that teleport error, but rather than just referencing those old adventures they should have used one of them as a basis for movie, would have made for a better plot for them to build their story around, they also needed more action and better effects, but that was just a budget thing so what can you do.
It’s been a hard week on the works outs and eating right, been feeling lazy
