life stuff
A.) Humphrey is moving out, so we need to either find a new housemate or move. We're looking for both on CL, but if anyone has any leads, send 'em along.
B.) I was in a motorcycle accident a couple weeks ago, never got around to posting about it. I pulled up to the stop sign to get on the Bay Bridge from Yerba Buena Island and the person behind me apparently didn't think I was going to stop because she plowed right into me. Somehow the bike stayed upright, though I was jolted forward into the lane. The bike was crunched up a bit, but amazingly nothing to prevent me from riding it - got the repair estimate today and the other driver's insurance will be cutting me a check for the costs, $1148.94. I wasn't hurt much, just a bit in the back and hip plus some minor whiplash. In fact the whiplash did my neck some good while it lasted by loosening my over-tight neck muscles, though it did make it hard to raise my head from a lying position.
