My mom had foot surgery last week to deal with about seventeen different problems she's having. Today she sent me this:So I was in the waiting room at the doc's office today, panting from my long trek from the parking lot. Exit a woman with two surgical shoes on (that would be one on each foot, not two on the same foot). I rolled my eyes and good naturedly said to her "OY, it could be worse, I could have TWO." She smiled and with honey dripping from her mouth asked what I meant and I good naturedly said "well, I have only one bad foot, you have two."

She smiled with honey flowing like lava, and said "Oh, I'm doing great, it's the Lord."

Me, still good naturedly but not quite so much, "Oh, that's my problem."

She, still smiling and exploding honey, "You could be like me if you would turn it over to the Lord."

Me, very much less good naturedly, "If I only knew".

She, still smiling, "You have to accept the Lord, blah, blah, blah,............"

Me, very un good naturedly,"Yeah, yeah, bye"

My response:"What about when there was only one set of footprints in the sand?" I asked.

"That is when I was performing foot surgery." said God.
