To be fair, I have been busy since last I wrote here. Like, wrote for real.

How busy? Well, I'll detail that...

• Me: Tired, but not as tired as I was last night. Another good night of sleep should do me. Also have this long scratch on my right thigh that I have no idea where it came from. I'd also call myself a little excited, as several signs of Autumn (my favorite season) are showing themselves.
  
• The family: Everyone is starting to fall into the school routine. The kids are doing well so far, though they've had only 1 full week of school so far (last week they were off for Labor day and Rosh Hashanah, this week they're off tomorrow for primary elections). I've written on the equivalent of a small deciduous forest (again) in filling out their forms.
  
• Work: Busy. As I've said before, we lost our project manager, and then last week we lost our Help Desk manager. Plus a bunch of other stuff. And today, I've been spending the day dealing with malware removal. Good news is that our company has been awarded part of the new contract, so all we have to do is not f**k up. Also, review should be happening any day now...
  
• The last three weeks: Let me explain. No it is too long, let me sum up.
  
  • 8/25: Stayed home with the kids
    8/28: Had family picture done, took stuff to storage, repacked stuff for TCEP, edited adventures for TCEP.
    8/29: Got kids ready for school.
    8/30: First day of school.
    9/1: Back to school night for B.'s school, laundry.
    9/2: Packed cars for TCEP.
    9/3-6: TCEP 17 (this will get its own post)
    9/7: work, then collapsing from TCEP.
    9/8: Laundry
    9/10-11: InterventionCon (this too will get its own post)
    9/12: NFL opening weekend action at stoooooooo & ginabeth's home.

  So, yeah. Good times, but busy.
  
• My beloved Philly Eagles: Y'know, I don't have a lot of high hopes for them this year. We've got a young QB and a young team that needs some seasoning. And that's what I saw yesterday against a VERY good Green Bay team. So congrats to the Packers and to delazan on their win.
  
• On the schedule: Well, we plan on

  • Visiting Sandy Hook Lighthouse, Twin Lights Lighthouse & Long Beach island in October
    
  • Celebrating several birthdays (luvmomh)
    
  • testing recipes for Thanksgiving

  • Assorted Cub Scout meetings, school functions, laundry days...
  Yep, a good Autumn ahead.
