Fuck you, Spring.
My right eye is not only watering, it is swollen and it hurts!! My brains are leeking out!! MAAAAAH! Ahem... so yeah, I don't feel good.
I've been avoiding... heh, just about everything really... but mostly at the moment I'm avoiding looking for work. I don't know what to do, I keep submitting my stuff to all these places, to the state, to UCD, everywhere, and I never hear anything back. The only correspondence I have had today is someone from a healthcare recruiter telling me to become an LVN. There isn't a shortage of LVNs! There is a shortage of RNs, but no one can get through the training because they are understaffed and there is a three year waiting period! WTH? That would just thrust me into another arena where I have no experience and a hell of a lot of competition.
So I signed up at a staffing agency last week. I did three tests, and a horrendous safety video meant for light/heavy industrial workers (I wish I had the skills to do that, but I digress) and while I was watching the video, I notice a woman hobble out of her office with a cane. Just as I was about to feel sorry for her, I noticed that she was wearing six inch heals. Black patent leather peep-toe stripper shoes.
And now it is time to sigh, shake my head, and go back to applying for work.
