Well, I know I promised a Wild AMRs 5 post days ago, but it's been temporarily stalled on account of me being busy with other things.
Most notably, besides my usual photography and real estate work for me mom, I've been working on Coperia again, with this Friday being the first session of the second take at revitalizing it, this time with 100% more me not sucking at DMing... hopefully. It's an Otherside session detailing what happened to Krizak's character, Idalia Young, after she left the main group and headed north to the Firacian city of Illustria, also the location of the Central Church Of Seollia, with Aler Uros and Alexander Xenos.
...but I'm sure you could care less about that XD;
In anime news, Gurren Lagann continues to be one of the best shows in years.Parts of the episode were somewhat boring, but Simon's EPic Level Galactica Phantom to Rossiu and teh end of the episode where Simon becomes Captain GARlock were top notch, and my anticipaiton for the next four episodes is completely undescribably with human language. Any of them. I also started watching Hayate no Gotoku at Seril's suggestion - absolutely hilarious show, and I recommend anyone who likes a good comedy, particularly one that makes constant referances to other animes, games, and their various pratfalls, watch it. Alsos tarted downloading some classic Mazinger Z and Getter Robo, just because I love me some Super RObot anime, particularly Mazinger Z and Getter Robo.
On the video games front, Growlanser V got delayed to September 18th, giving me a bit mroe time to finish Gyakuten Saiban 3 and Wils ARMs V before it comes out. On a realted tangent, I got clearance from Kurt over at
Hardcore Gaming 101 to write articles on both the Growlanser and Wild ARMs series. I'm rather excited about that, and it looks like Helmar's helping with the Wild ARMs article as well, which will be nice since it'll allow me to both ahve someone to proof my work and make sure I don't miss things while at the same time taking a lot of stress off my shoulders.
Continuing to music, I'm not sure if I've mentioned the Blaqk Audio album yet or not, but either way, it's fantastic and everyone should get it - Davey Havok and Jade Puget form AFI's Darkwave/Synthpop side project, and it's AWESOME. Also sounding god is The Birthday Massacre's new album Walking With Strangers, which comes out the 10th (Though is already "available", if you know what I mean...). Also now available is Emma Pollock's Watch The Fireworks. If anyone's heard me talk about the band The Delgados before (A favourite of mine who split last year), Emma Pollock was the lead female vocalist, and this is her solo debut. It's very similar to her music with The Delgados, but with much mroe of her touch to it, naturally. Very, very wonderful. Jonithen also got me into a synthpop/darkwave band called Ladytron, which plays on both my love of female vocalists and darkwave, much like The Birthday Massacre does. It's not the best I've ehard, but it's quite good, and their earlier stuff has a ncie gothicy sound to it that I really enjoy.
I also heard Angels And Airwave's new single. While the first album was generic but very enjoyable, this song does not bode well for the album with it's forced, formulated, and terribly generic sound. I fear the release of theri new album, I-Empire.
Finally, Lucent recently reminded me that the song "9 Crimes" by Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan exists. It's a... somewhat creepy, very deliberate, calm, and unnerving song, and I love it. I haven't stopped listening to it all day, in fact. The only other songs I listened to with any frequency were The Blower's Daughter, also by Damian Rice and featuring Lisa Hannigan, Dancing Nancies by the Dave Matthews Band, and How Far We've Come by Matchbox 20 (A surprisingly good song from a band who's sucked for their last two albums)
That's about it for me. Maybe I'll do more proper entry, with taht promised WAV info, this weekend. I wouldn;t count on it though.
