I know most of you are as bust as I am this weekend, but if you have a chance and beleive in a choice you might want to concider helpf with the
Pro-Choice Day of Action!
As the anti-choice movement continues to push for earlier, more stringent, and broader restrictions on abortion, birth control, pregnant women, and abortion providers than ever before, pro-choice activists are taking it to the streets!
THIS SATURDAY, September 23rd, help us demonstrate the power of the pro-choice majority in Colorado! We will be out walking neighborhoods, phoning our supporters, and writing letters to voters to spread the word on pro-choice candidates.
When: Saturday, September 23, 2006, 9:00 am - 5pm
Where: Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains - 950 Broadway, Denver
Wear: Comfortable clothing and shoes.
Get This! Rep. Matt Knoedler (Senator Betty Boyd's opponent) told the Rocky Mountain News that he believed that "Abortion should not be permitted at all". He also voted against improving access to emergency contraception. He doesn't get it - the right to control your own fertility is a fundamental human right. Women and families - not politicians - should determine when and whether to have families. We'll be spending time this Saturday
letting people know that Betty Boyd is pro-choice.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided!
