Awkward run-ins
I...saw Ryan McCormic at Hot Topic in the Tyler Mall. He....works there. I'm really not sure what to do with that, but I can assure you that it was an incredible awkward few moments. It could have been one of those situations where I realize from across the store that there is someone I went to High School with in the general vicinity and casually slip behind a display and hope I can dodge them until I leave, but noooo. I didn't actually see him until Krystal asked for his help with something. So not only was his attention draw in a direction that enabled him to see me, but he also had to come over to where we were; destroying any chance of escape. Not only that, but he looks kinda different, so in my own ridiculous mind I had to make sure that it was him which means that I spent a few seconds staring at him. Always a good idea.
So, now I'm sad because, what? now I have to consciously decide if I want to go into Hot Topic and risk more awkwardness? Seriously, what if he decided that it would be a good idea to chat? I couldn't handle that kind of crap. It's hard enough randomly bumping into people I actually sort of liked from high school.
