Life is totally kicking me in the face right now, but the show must go on
Well, this is just a small update.
Went to the NYC X Japan concert.....dear god was it worth waiting 10 years for....
I don't think I could properly explain to people how amazing it was for me. They are like my most favorite band of all time (well they share that distinction with a very few select bands) I never thought I'd see then live...ever...unless time travel was invented....(kinda wish you could do such a thing...maybe a Quantum Leap kind of deal where you're there, but you don't interfere...just think how close to the stage you could get then!!
I might make a longer post on this later, when I have pictures up, and not so much Drama in my life (thank you idiot corporations....no, on second thought...I won't bother with niceties there...)
Anyway, I have been attempting to throw together a sort of Old Skool Jrock/pop education music collection for my friends who are into Jrock, but are unfamiliar with most of the bands I listen/listened to.
So far I have come up with quite an impressive list...dear god it's been ages since I've listened to some of them. The question is now, what songs best represent the bands!! Easier said than done! Especially since I have lost some of my mp3's and some bands I knew but really don't have a decent enough idea of which song would be good to show other people.
If anyone has any ideas (or think I'm missing an important Japanese artist from the 90 through early 21st century. Some artists like Malice Mizer, Gackt, Luna Sea, Dir en Grey, I haven't included because I'm pretty sure the people I'm making it for are familiar...but feel free to mention anyone else...my memory isn't what it used to be.) Feel free to leave a comment!
