So. I have these spiders lurking outside my house. There's about 5 or 6 of them, scattered around the place. Three are living near each other, and two live way off, so I'm not sure what's up with that. Behind the cut are pics, so does anyone know what the slag these are, and whether or not I should Kill Them With Fire?

Found them! Read more... )

Well, I think I found them on wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_garden_spider

They are pretty large, though, about an inch across?

*Nodnod* Ianam (aka: my spider expert) agrees with me, so that's awesome. These guys are all female, and all harmless to anything other than bugs. And we have a ton of bugs here, so I have no issues with them moving in.

*Grins* Yeppers! After all, after running into five a day during breeding season, you learn quickly. That, and go out early, while the dew's still on the fragging things.

If there's dew, everything's fine, but if I run into a web that I don't know is there, I might go all, omgspidersspiders!!! *shivers* I get the shivers just thinking about it, literally.
