1st LJ Art dump ftw!
I haven’t posted any artwork online in years. This is probably mainly because I haven’t finished anything I liked enough to post >_<.
But hell, I’m posting hoping that I’ll have time this semester to finish some of my sketches and improve my technique. Maybe. Ok, probably not. Damn you Engineering, why you gotta be hard?
So, in any case, the first 2 were inspired by the Lucky Star/Tenipuri crossover videos
It’s ridiculously cute and hilarious. I love fandom <3
I think Fuji and Atobe’s knees are too low and will edit them later.
This next one comes from the fact that I was thinking about the future of the Elrics when all the current events in the manga were over (and, you know, if they were still alive and in one piece). I can see them working in Central trying to reform the government and doing research and stuff.
So this is almost like a snapshot of the image they project when someone walks up to them. Confident, competent, intimidating and pissed off (well, the last one for Ed, because I can imagine him being like ‘What are doing near Al? Back off bitch!’)
Pretty pleased with the line work here, although still not as…fluid as I would like. I typically dislike my style of drawing/sketching quite intensely. It’s not easy and light (like classical Chinese painting), but it’s also not quite intricately detailed and shaded that is characteristic of western work. It’s like some bastard gray area between the 2 and it pisses me off. But this piece looks pretty enough to be ok :)b.
Oh, the scanner I was using was horrible, and I gave up struggling with it.
Lastly, this is inspired by Lysapadin’s ‘The Way to a Man’s Heart'. It’s a Tenipuri Yakuza AU which you should go read now. Right now. Go on. Shoo.
