092 - do you remember that time

Jul 16, 2011 22:57

[VOICE: Sylar sounds bemused. BACKDATED TO THE BEGINNING OF PORT.]

"Less civilization." Iago's right. How many people here actually know? Actually remember enough ports and euphemisms to know what that means? The danger you're all walking into? It's amusing to watch, really.

Be careful with the fences. Most are probably electrified.

[He was already headed toward Sylar when he noticed the post, so he didn't stop to reply in the middle of the hallway. Instead, Tim made a B line for his inmate's door, knocking and leaning against the wall.]

[Sylar lifted an eyebrow at the sound, glancing over toward the entryway. He wasn't certain who to expect and was surprised to realize that a small part of him hoped it was Elle. After a beat, his lifted his hand and the lock slid away before the knob on the door turned. The door effectively opened itself at his beckoned call to reveal.. Tim. Well, this was curious.]

"Are you mad at me?" [He asked with a hint of teasing, only because he wasn't sure why his warden was at his door, even with the announcement for port.]

Never, [Tim said dryly. It was weird, the door opening on its own barely put him on edge anymore. He walked in, holding up his device.] You said 'you.' Not. 'we.'

"I'm not planning on going." [Sylar held up a hand again to quietly close the door behind Tim. The killer then gestured vaguely to offer Tim a seat if he wanted one, turning in his chair at the desk to be more comfortable.] "Why are you?"

[Tim sat down on the edge of Sylar's bed, holing his device in his lap.] Because it'll be goo to get off the boat. The CES is nice, but it's not the same. I want you to com with me.

"Why?" [The inmate was, for once, neither arguing or baiting Tim. At least not yet. At the moment, he was sincerely curious why it was that his warden wanted him to come along. Tim was one of only four people on the Barge he would actually have considered going for and already in the lead simply by being his warden.]

Because it'll do us both some good to get off the boat. Think of it like a camping trip. I can't promise it'll be fun, but it'll be something.

[Sylar opened his mouth and then closed it again as an idea came to mind.] "If I come with you, behave.. I want you to request the full use of my telekinesis when we return."

[Tim's mouth twisted just a little wryly. He shouldn't be surprised, really. He was silent as he considered it. Pros and cons: Sylar could be Dangerous. But had he actually BEEN dangerous lately? The last person he'd killed was Elle, and that had been months ago. And for all his talk of wanting to kill, he never actually flew off the handle. And with the powers he already had, he could.

So Tim nodded.] Okay. But only if you try to have fun when we aren't in imminent danger. [There was a tiny smile at the corner of his mouth that called that a joke, at least.]

[That was actually enormously surprised and the killer stared at his warden in silence for a stretch of time as if waiting for Tim to call 'psyche' or burst out laughing. When he seemed sincere, Sylar lifted a single eyebrow and then stood.]

"I'll do my best." [He practically purred the sentiment in his current bliss.] "When do we leave?"

[He didn't burst out laughing, but Tim did smile, just a little.] Few minutes. Get anything you want to bring together. Lighter, some extra clothes, something comfortable to walk in, whatever. I'll meet you on the deck? [He wanted to get some of his gear.]

[Sylar, in his typical fashion, gave a tilt of the head resembling a nod and then immediately moved around his room to began gathering things, knowing the warden could show himself out.]

[To which Tim nodded back, and headed for the door. He'd grab his belt - hidden oh so tactfully under his shirt - and wait on the deck.]

[Sylar didn't pack much, placing far more stock in his abilities than anything else. But there were some clothes and stuff and then he was meeting Tim up on deck to venture out to where, unknowingly, they would be facing dinosaurs and all those things he had hinted at to the others as a result of his paintings.

He approaches Tim with an easy nonchalance.] "Are you ready?"

Yeah, let's go. [Tim headed off, stretching his arms above him.] You know, I'm glad you're coming. You'll make lighting fires a hundred times easier.

[Sylar followed without complaint for once, striding alongside his warden with a smirk. He was not at all perturbed by the remark and replied with an air of amusement.] "I'm glad I can be such a useful tool for you."
