There's something about a higher calling that most people can't ignore. To find peace, to be special. Once the survival instinct is gone, anything is possible. It also makes it harder to find a reason for most people to live. People who feel loved have a better chance of surviving severe burns, recovering from surgery. So do people who have religion. For the rest of us? Well, you better hope you stay a predator to avoid becoming prey.
