Wintersday 2009
Wintersday 2009 on Guild Wars has been fun for the most part, aside from some serious lag issues earlier in the week. Unfortunately there is now a bug with the festival hats where many people that take part in the event are not receiving them. I didn't have any trouble in the first event getting Grenth hat, but haven't been able to get Dwayna hat since.
The Anet staff are aware of the problem as asking people to send in information to them such as the town, district, did the event take place, which side won, did your character receive a hat and so on to help them narrow down where the glitch is occurring and why. Unfortunately there isn't much advice for players except to keep trying.
I suspect a Christmas Redux may be in the works after this little fiasco. That or allowing people to get the hats from one of the Wintersday collectors/characters over the next week. There simply appears to be too many people hit by this bug for them not to find some resolution.
Otherwise, Wintersday 2009 was fun.
