Faith has left you.
That's okay.
You've had enough to think today.
The meditation takes its toll,
You've found yourself a worthless soul--
The paralyzing, guideless thought
That your life is for naught.
I won't tell you that it's not true.
I won't say that hard times are through.
The lies won't help; All I can do
Is show my love and cling to you.
You can sleep in.
It's alright.
You've had enough to drink tonight.
The medication makes its mark
And right now things are looking dark.
The bleakest thoughts make wise men weep
Make children wish for endless sleep.
But life will still grow and the sky will stay blue
And you'll still feel giddy when you kiss someone new.
There are too many unfound pleasures on Earth,
So please find your self-worth.
