(no subject)
aaaaa fack
im bored, so i will relive today through LJ:
school. 8 hours long. no breaks. wait, sorry, 6 hours. would've been 8 but here's the deal:
my second last class was cancelled. i handed in a long essay (it was 7 pages, but its the work that went into coming up with the info that took forever) then headed to a bar for half an hour with friends. i ate double layer chocolate fudge cake. yes, it was fucking good.
then i headed to Clintons... it's a bar with a venue section (a la 360 but smaller) near christie station. little did i know, the sound guy didn't need help. i was sposed to work with him tonight. sooo i have to do it next week toward passing my live sound course.

i went to the kathedral, played my cards right, and got into an okay battle of the bands free (no, not supernova) and my buddy had just started managing this metal band (think old school metallica without the annoying vocal nuances and not TRYING to sound like all old metallica). they were the only good band. there was an okay experimental band but they arent what i'd pay to see.
they got everyones attention and i think if anyone here knows of someone who needs a band for a metal show, let me know. they moved here from halifax recently and need shows. um, then i went to the reverb to check out other bands (scouting for a recording in 2 months)....
here's what you dont do: get a lame emo band (dashboard with terrible, deathly vocals) to play, then get a band to jam a funk beat, then get 2 white guys who liked the emo band to do frestyle rapping with a dj. sure, they could freestyle, but it was a bad show. i promptly left, went to liz's, and now am home
i never post my 'what i did today' posts but someone *cough*meg*cough* has been bugging me to say SOMETHING interesting
hope that was a LITTLE bit.
