Like a rubber ball I'll come bouncing back to you (and take your eye out, just like mom said!)
Hey all, how's life? I haven't seen some of you on in a while, but perhaps I just have poor timing with the friends' page reading and such and you're all, in fact, alive and well.
I had my CT scan. Should get results within a week or two. In the meantime, I discovered that if I have my doctor request it and I pay thirty bucks I can get My Brain On Disk! Very excited, as you can probably imagine. The expense will be more than worth it.
The experience itself was kind of like being abducted by aliens (I'm assuming): the thing turned and hummed like a saucer taking off, but not until the photo op was apparently over. I was positioned on what can only be described as a robotic shelf and moved suggestively into and out of a giant white metal donut several times. This took about five minutes. Afterwards, it took twice as long to get all my head jewelry back in.
I just remembered I have to finish addressing the wedding invites this evening. Oy.
It has been a Weekend. Already. We visited my brother last night and Wee Boy got his first chance on a drum kit. He was pretty good for a five-year-old - I wish I could afford to buy him drums and some place to play them!
Then on the way home we argued about where we're moving to next year. I guess that me wanting to go to a specific school isn't as important as the cost of gas and his preference to keep his current crappy low-paying job (an hour's drive away).
Dammit, if he wants to support me and I don't have to do a damn thing I'm okay with that, but he's gonna have to make more money to keep us rolling (although we really could do without the dish, seriously). I could get a really well-paying job if I finished my BA and MA, but whether I'd be happy in whatever I got trapped in would be another matter anyway.
I wish my parents had enrolled me in circus school when I was 2.
