Courage or Slut?

Okay, I realize a few of you aren't going to like the subject, but after my last update, I figure I need something to grab your attention. I'm a tad bit confused as to why girls sometimes start conversations with me when I'm at the bar playing pool or whatever.

So I was a tad bit drunk.

Last night, I went to hang out with Mac-10, Brad, and a girl from work. (I suppose I need to name her like the other fake names I've given the others I know, we'll just use Kitty cause she's like a little Kitten, I'll say something rude and it doesn't affect her. Short of a blatant affront, I've actively tried to see if she'll be like the rest of the women I (we've) known.) Kitty brought one of her friends from Australia and that was cool. He had the accent, of course, but we talked about sports in Australia, Dr. Who, Red Dwarf, Politics, and US's obession with football (first game of the season last night).

Then after I'm good and buzzing, we head from this nice bar called Welch Ave. to Patty's, which is a POS bar with crappy pool tables and etc. They have buck burgers on Wednesday which is nice, but hardwood wet floors in the winter make it horrible to stand otherwise. I've told people that have never been in there before that I consider Patty's the bar where women tend to go that have just been dumped by their BFs.

So here's the deal. We go there to meet up with Brad's fiance who's in the VetMed program or something. There's a bunch of her friends there, nice girls, but I was drunk and continuing to drink so I don't know for certain how nice they actually were. Mac-10 wasn't hitting on them, but then again, he's like me and more after their brains than their hearts or looks anyway, so that doesn't mean much. Kitty took her friend and left about this time.

Anyway, I put some money down for pool because we can obviously beat anyone in a shitty bar when we play well against the God of Billards at Welch. And we are doing well, till I go to set my beer down one time and this girl gets disturbingly close to me and actually starts uttering noises from her food chute.

I'm not entirely an unattractive man (or so my mother tells me), but I'm also not likely the kind of person a girl would set down as her, uh.. "first pick". I'm more along the lines of maybe #5 or #6 in a college town. So uh, yeah, she starts talking about pool, asks me my name, and so I stick out my hand so she shakes that instead of like hugging and dry humping me. To be honest, she was kind of timid, but I don't understand why she would have started talking to me to begin with.

So then along comes Mr. #1, the first guy she started talking to (or so I assume if I was #5), and just starts doing the dry humping I had previously mentioned. It took like 5 seconds for him to show up after she started talking to me, which made me wonder if she was a slut and I was right for ignoring her and keeping her away. So anyway, is the girl courageous or a slut? It is instances like this that make me wonder why girls get pissed off I don't shower them with attention. Why even devote one second to a woman if she is still trying to figure out if she wants a guy for money or sex?

And they say women are complicated. No, it's either money or sex. Even a mentally retarded man can provide emotional support. I'm too afraid to talk to women because I'm worried they want me for something. Is that wrong?
