I am having to think seriously about who I want to be friends with here, what kind of effort it's going to take, and what I want in the long run. I'm also reminding myself that feelings of friendship are often not mirrored back exactly; in fact, it's more the exception than the rule when they are.
Carys still a bit ill. Busy planning the start of my job and other activities for the late summer and fall. Trying to get enough decent sleep. Battling fleas in the house. Bungled the use of our money market account and nearly overdrafted with our last withdrawal. (Grr.)
I've missed any number of birthdays - so HBBD to worldforawhile (18th), owlfish (25th), awesomecow (yesterday); and H Advanced BD to fastrada and my aunt Brenda (tomorrow), and exiledprincess (the 2nd). Whew!
