Book 6 and 7 predictions
I went ahead and put HBP on pre-order then I walked around all day and pretended I wasn't a fangirl. I rented PoA cuz I haven't seen it since the theatres and the lady at the counter was going 'Did you know the next book is coming about in two days?' and I said 'Oh, I had no idea.' and let her expound on the greatness of the book PoA as opposed to the movie. It tickled me so much that I went to the book store and just for kicks pretended I couldn't figure out why these certain comic books opened backwards. I then let the clerk guy tell me all about these special books called 'manga' and these strange programs called 'anime'. He did NOT connect the fact that I was wearing a TRIGUN t-shirt to the amusement on my face.
Predictions:
These predictions are based on NOTHING but my own twisted musings. I am a fangirl but not such a big fangirl that I actually read the damn interviews or look for spoilers or anything.
- Dumbledore will die. He has to. Its like a law of the universe. Obiwan must kick the bucket before Luke can reach his full potential.
- Filch will play some sort of, maybe not big, but noteworthy role. He's a conspicuous but 'useless' character (like Arabella Fig). He's either gonna pull a rabbit out of his ass and save the day or he's gonna open the back door to Hogwarts and let the Death Eaters in.
- One of the Weasleys will die. My bets are on one of the twins. That's the whole point of having twins: ripping them apart for angst value. Its less likely but I'm also thinking Ron might die.
- Some sort of bitterness between Ron and Harry over Hermione. Either a love-triangle type thing or Harry's going to feel all left out and alone when Ron and Hermione get together.
Things I don't want. . . .
- Ron and Hermione ending up together. They just clash. It feels wrong.
- Neville to suddenly be important to the prophecy or the last battle. Neville's role seems to be getting bigger in the plot and it's pissing me off.
- Draco to play the role of Darth Maul. I don't care if Draco becomes a wimp and runs off. I just really don't want him to die a meaningless nasty death as Harry's "boss before the last leader" (HA! I'm speaking in video game terms)
Wouldn't it be cool if. . . .
- Harry's eyes weren't green until AFTER the Killing Curse.
- Snape dueled and killed Lucius Malfoy.
- Snape and Harry were related. (I've read a bunch of Severitus fics and now I'm half convinced Snape is Harry's dad)
- The Dursleys battled and beat a group of Death Eaters with Muggle weapons. Course it would be equally cool if the Dursleys battled a group of Death Eaters and died horrible deaths.
