Walking Dead Finale Thoughts
Contains severe spoilers for the finale, and you know what,some spoilers for the comics too. So read at your own risk. I'm having so many fangasms right now.
[Once, there was this one time, that I predicted stuff accidentally]I was having a one-sided freak out to my best friend who had already seen the finale. Keep in mind this was "live" as I was watching the show.
20 minutes in and I've had like 5 heart attacks. This is what I've been effing waiting to see!
1) Planning my wedding with Daryl. It ends with us driving off on his motorcycle. And there is a tiered cheese selection instead of a wedding cake.
2) If they kill Andrea I will never forgive them.
3) I want Daryl and Andrea together in the future now that Shane is gone.
4) Carol actually hasn't sucked this episode
5) I'm guessing next stop...PRISON!
6) The comics have enough material that this show could be on for like 20 seasons and never cover it, it's amazing how much happened in the comics (and how much won't happen based on who's died already. In the comics Otis finds Michonne, and also Patricia lives a lot longer.)
7) I never got why they didn't go back to the farm and clear out the zombies later, because that was/could have been such a solid location, and they wipe out scarier/crazier zombies later in the comics.

OMG OR FANTASY MOMENT. Andrea and Michonne meet up, become a team of pure awesome that no one can defeat, and then they meet up with the rest of the group. Since Otis isn't around, Andrea should find Michonne. I'm almost crying it's so beautiful. -

There was also Carl sobbing over Rick announcing he killed Shane, which I am going to interpret as Carl loved Shane because he was his second dad and HEARTBREAK.
Also, in the fic I'm working on a zombie herd takes out many members of their group and forces them off of Hershel's farm. This happened in the comics, so that was my inspiration, but it just works so well because it's an AU in which Shane doesn't try to kill Rick and is one of the survivors.
Also. Michonne. Most importantly Michonne. Otis finds her in the comics, so I was like...he's dead, so who is going to get saved by her and then tell the gang she's trustworthy? And then it all just worked out so perfectly. My favorite character saving my other favorite character. TEARS OF JOY!!
Michonne. If only I could sing of her epicness. Andrea as well. In the comics they have stolen my heart, and the show has continues my love for Andrea, and I pray it does so for Michonne. Her introduction was indeed epic, though we don't see her face. Her zombie pets are appropriately eerie and creepy as fuck. I love. I love it. This was the episode I've been waiting for.
I'm mad and sad Shane is dead (I know a lot of people are happy he's gone, I get it, I feel the opposite), but this episode cemented the fact that I"ll keep watching. I'll just keep writing Rick/Shane and Andrea/Shane because I love it. Kpeace.
Daryl is beautiful. Just beautiful. OHSHITREALIZATION. Also spoilers for comics here so SUPER A LOT BEWARE.
One character I'm not sure they're introducing is Tyrese, who I loved with a burning passion that burns. He kind of took over as Rick's buddy/partner, at least for awhile. Tyrese and Carol were together, but when Michonne shows up, she seduces Tyrese and steals him from Carol. Carol tries to enter into a relationship with Rick & Lori, and they're like, thanks but no thanks, and Carol kills herself (in the comics Sophia survives her mother, and is in fact still alive, at least in the most recent issue of the comic I read, which was pretty darn recent.) So I'm wondering if Carol is all OMGILOVEDARYL BUT THEN MICHONNE AND DARYL ARE TOO BADASS TO RESIST EACH OTHER and Carol is sad. I mean, maybe none of that happens because Carol from the show doesn't really align with Carol from the comics at all for me, so IDK. But I want some Daryl romance, so sue me. But my top pick is Andrea, and now, possibly Michonne who is really fucked up and awesome.
I've lost my mind a little over The Walking Dead. My love for it is epic and beautiful. (Like the love I believe, deep down, that Rick and Shane share in another AU of The Walking Dead, and Kirkman clearly loves AUs of his own creation, so HA.)
I also hope they keep in all the crazy shit at the prison, AKA some of the prisoners are fine and some aren't. Whoops. Also, if Tyrese isn't there...who goes a little nuts, enters the zombie filled gym and slaughters them all? DARYL??!??!?! T-DOG?!?!?
I also wonder if way down the road Abraham and his crew will be in it. I love them.
