My Son Is A Monkey

Jul 02, 2007 15:27

Ok so, lets starts this with Saturday afternoon. Josh and I are sleeping because that's what we do when the baby is also asleep. So, I hear the baby crying and I go out of our room to see what's up with him. I always look towards the bathroom (which is the door to the right of our bedroom door which is right in front of the front door) and who do I see? Ashrum, crying with a sopping wet and soiled diaper. He was not a happy man. So I go into his room with him to change his diaper and I see that the gate to the crib is down and there's one of big people chairs RIGHT beside his crib so he could climb down it. So, I change his diaper and put him in the crib after putting the gate up and shoving the clothes basket that was keeping the gate down all the way to the back underside of his crib.

THEN not an hour later, he's trying to climb onto the dresser by putting his little legs onto the dresser and pushing himself OVER the gate of the crib. So I laugh at him and stick him in his playpen while I'll wake up Josh so he can get ready for work and that sort. What does little Ashrum do this time? He's in his playpen without a diaper and takes a LEAK in the corner. No kidding. This kid is werid.

So, then we go to my parents house and we see my Aunt Jean who's down from Haverhill, MA. We talk with her and she plays with the baby. We get home and he's trying AGAIN to climb out of his crib. So I take him into my room for the night. We didn't get to sleep until 3:30AM. Oh, I could have killed him since I had to be up in three hours to pick up Josh. But that was Saturday.

Sunday, I have him in his playpen. The little stinker threw off his diaper again, but this time it was quite the soilded diaper so I had to take him out put him in the bath and clean out his playpen AGAIN. Then when Josh woke up I had Ash in his crib and Josh had me put down the gate so he could climb out of it. Ash ended up right infront of th TV. Josh was there the whole time so no danger to him. And we repeated Saturday night by going to my parents house.

Monday, I put him in his high chair for lunch since he slept really good and it really helped that Josh was up until about 11am from the time we got home about 7:30am. So, I wakeup around 3pm to check on the baby. I see that he's in his playpen sleeping soundly. I look into the Living room where Amy is and thank her for putting him in his playpen. That's when she told me she found him walking out in the living room. Apparently he climbed out of his highchair and took a stroll into the living room. **sigh** My son is a monkey... But I couldn't love him anymore ^_^
