Athens day 1
Nice Flight! First class, nice drinks, good meals, and free goodies. They even gave the cabin noise cancelling bose headsets while we watch our movies. Athens was sooo beautiful to see from the sky... mountins and cliffs spot the mediteranian sea all over.
Whew! So here I am... 6 flights upon old buildings at an internet cafe in Plaka I think. Honestly I have been lost all day, but close to the acropolis so it cannot be too bad. I just hope it cools down in the evening.
They are selling hookas like mad here... 15 euro will buy a very nice one... 6 euro will too! I am so tempted. It is very odd though as no one offers it in cafes, only to sell.
It seems I had forgotten about the euro culture, in that I didnt realize that my hostal room was to be shared by 3 french girls. Very aqward, I dunno how I will go about grooming and such in the morning with such small quarters (2 bunkbeds in a 10 by 6 foot space). Oh well, I wont be there much.
I want to get used to this water but its very hard... very large quantities of magnesium, which makes for a strange aftertaste. This is the first time I do not want to hydrate myself, hahaha.
I am not sure what else to update on right now... my time at the internet cafe is almost up.
Oh, and I am trying to figure out the postcard system here, though it is not easy. I want to buy them but do not know how to manage postage and such. Still trying though *hugz* love ya guys.
