I tucked my files into the proper folder before locking my cabinet and turning around. Lilah was standing in the door way with an amused expression.
“Think I’m going to go through your things Lindsey?” She asked with a wicked grin.
“I have no doubts, Lilah, that you will find a way. Lucky for me, I don’t keep my important files anywhere you could find them.” I grinned and picked up my suitcase, giving my office the once over before heading out past Lilah.
“Where are you off to in such a hurry?” She crossed her arms over her chest.
“Far away from you.” I rolled my eyes and headed to the hall and into the elevator.
Driving home was probably the longest ride I’d ever taken, I was beyond ansty. Hoping that nothing would go wrong this weekend, nothing bad would happen and I could just spend some quality time with Tara, getting to know her better.
I finally got home and ran up the stairs to my apartment. I changed quickly grabbed my bags and locked up before walking down the hall and knocking on Tara’s door.
I stood there with a nervousness I’d hadn’t had since high school. My mind went through the directions to the cabin, once we got off the plane and rented the car, it would be an hours drive into the mountains. I just hoped she didn’t think I was ridiculous, or that I was insanely stupid for all the preparations I’d made.
I’d spent good money to have the cabin stocked and well lit with candle light. I also hoped she could ski, then again, if she couldn’t that just meant we were going to stay inside, which could be better.
I didn’t even notice her open the door, standing there like a fool ticking off things in my head before I heard a slight giggle and looked at her with a huge grin on her face.
“Hi.”
