So I semi-reluctantly went to AX last weekend. As most of you probably have no idea since I fell off the face of the internets, I have been out of the fandom for quite some time. Mostly since I returned from my travels abroad...in the winter of 2009. But for anime, ever since the summer ('05, '06?) that I tried to watch Princess Tutu and decided I hated everyone except Fakir. To remedy this I came up with the perfect solution: 1.4x speed until I see the color green. I think I pretty much stopped watching anime after that.

After I came back from my trip I was so far behind on most of my manga that I was overwhelmed trying to collect the catchup. THEN most of the sites I used to use died or made some sort of dramatic change and I became frustrated, then angry. Summary: I stopped reading everything except for Skip Beat and One Piece (very slowly).

I are very happy with trip. Perhaps I can once again learn to love AX, despite its sell out commercialism. It turns out there are still places in this con that are capable of being awesome. I am super glad I went to see arekuru rasuberi and yoshikochan! I also made some new friends, which if you think about it, it actually quite a large part of any sort of con, *wave atdramaelf .

Sometime in between returning home on Monday night and right now I have competed 14 episodes of Tiger & Bunny. And proved to Mike that, no, we really did need to pay for the high bandwidth internet....I knew I'd need it one of these days...

In spirit with my new revival, I have installed Trillian on my new computer (which to my total bewilderment has not had it for over a year). I can now be talked to* at your convenience! I just reformatted my computer with W7, so I'm still working out some kinks. I've decided I'm going to keep it, but I'm still a bit disgruntled.

Also, you must see this video of a monkey riding backwards on a pig.

*Disclaimer, IM on does not mean here, please expect away message for majority of day, just like before :D
