(no subject)
Things that have happened to me in the past, oh, 4 months:
- The holidays. This included trips to North Carolina and San Jose, and seeing friends from out of town.
- I started on a new project at work that has to do with advertising. It involves driving to Burbank but is interesting and important to the company.
- I did some minor home improvement projects, including an update to my shower, buying a love seat and a coffee table, acquiring a new )to me) and much bigger TV, and installing some light switch plates that I bought a long time ago in Mexico.
- I've done interesting cultural things in LA like two Dia de los Muertos festivals and a Chinese New Year festival.
- I went skiing in January and partially tore my ACL. Opted not to have surgery. I'm doing physical therapy, which is going well, and I'm supposed to be taking it easy, but I'm not very good at that.
- I lost my cell phone and got a new one. I didn't have all of my phone numbers backed up, so I may have lost yours. Why don't you drop me an email with your new contact info?
- I got laid off.
So if you know of any job opportunities (usability/user experience research, or possibly interaction design) in the LA area, please drop me a line. I'll be around.
In the mean time, I'm planning to intersperse my job hunting with some very delayed photo album assembly, gentle yoga, possibly swimming (especially if the weather stays nice), watercoloring, knitting baby gifts, and creative cooking and baking with organic ingredients.
