New Condo!

Originally uploaded by GratteCiella. I know I've been a bit incommunicado recently on LJ (but then, what else is new), so if you haven't spoken to me in the past few weeks, you may not have heard the exciting news:
I bought a condo!
I've been living with my parents since last November, when I moved to LA to take a new job. In the past nine months or so, I've learned to
love the LA area again, connected with lots of local friends old and new, and settled into my role as a User Experience Specialist at Move, Inc (formerly Homestore). I'm very happy living here, so (with a lot of help from my family), I took the drastic step of buying a condo. After a short escrow period, I closed yesterday, and now I'm a proud new homeowner of a second-floor two-bedroom unit in Santa Monica. For you out-of-towners, please note that one of the bedrooms will be a combination office/guest room, so please come visit. I'm still living with my folks for the moment, and eagerly looking forward to painting, repairing, moving in and unpacking.
And to match, I have a shiny new local cell phone number as well, just in time to avoid the dreaded overlay.
Note that this picture, and the others in my flickr accound, do indeed show the condo, but with the previous owner's furniture and decor. Since then they've moved their stuff out, of course, and I'll figure out where my much smaller collection of stuff should go.
