Because it's hard to remember sometimes:
1. My photography class last night was awesome. Even though I missed the first class and still don't know how to use the SLR camera.
2. Volleyball today. Even though no one really bothered to tell me until an hour before.
3. Work is buying me a BlackBerry. OK, work is buying the group a BlackBerry for testing purposes. But it can't actually come to work, so someone will need to keep it at home, and it's going to be in my name ... :)
4. Ladies' tea tomorrow. At the St. James Tea Room (wear your white gloves and your hat)!
5. Fun weekend plans: date on Friday, photography "field trip" and comedy club on Saturday, a friend's concert on Sunday. Maybe hiking? Or fiddling? Or shopping?
6. Knoxville was a lot of fun. My presentation went very well, and the touring thing was good too. And I still have the pictures to download.
7. I think I've finally gotten over the fact that I don't love all of the people my age in the Albuquerque Sandia social group. They're boring. It's ok. I have other friends and I don't have to love anyone just because she's my peer.
8. My friend Joel got a job. Hooray!
9. My newest knit scarf is bee-you-tiful. Not long enough to wear yet, but I'm working on it. Or I may turn it into an afghan. (Someday I'll knit something that's not flat and rectangular, I promise!)
10. I can join the red hat society! OK, I can be a junior member and wear a pink hat. Crazy ladies, whee! And I think my Dickens Faire bonnet qualifies as pink ...
And finally, for good measure:
Chocolate, meringues, and the fact that you can buy both of them from Trader Joe's in Santa Fe.
and ...
Because I'm not quite over it yet, here's a literary QOTD:
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright.
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light.
And somewhere men are laughing,
and somewhere children shout.
But
there is no joy
in Mudville.
Mighty Casey
has
struck out.
