"You 'think'"?

(and now Jon will get rid of some negative energy by yelling at nobody in particular)

You know the people who give you a hard time because you express yourself in non-absolute terms?

If you say "I think it will be at 4", they say "You 'think'? You don't *know*?".

I'm yearning to develop an arsenal against such people, with quips and jibes, to cut these -breakers down to size.

Something like "I have neither the time nor the inclination to make you happy by trying to give you 100% certainty about that".

Or maybe "It feels good to really KNOW, doesn't it? You know what makes me feel good? Punching someone in the shoulder, REALLY HARD. Whaddya say I go find out absolutely for sure for you, and you in kind satisfy my similarly unreasonable desire, and let me tag you a good one?" (best done with a bit of a crazy face)

Anyone else out there know what I'm talking about?
