Ethan is 7, and other incremental changes

I've been mostly on Facebook, and you're free to befriend me on there. I've been alive and OK, doing the work, home, work, home, work, home, gas station, work, home thing.
Had a party last Saturday for Ethan. It was the first time we combined a kids party with family, and it went all right. We rented a party room at a nearby community center, and provided our own food, so the cost was less than somewhere like Chuck E. Cheese.
I've been plodding on learning actuarial stuff. Sooner or later I will be looking at some of the stuff that they actually do (great idea, right?), to see if 1) I feel I could do it, and 2) to see if I thought it was interesting enough to want to do it for a while. I'm still hesitant about my ability to break into the field, because I don't have a college degree, but with enough planning that might be overcome.
