I win everything.
I had an interview yesterday and I totally rocked it! It was for the Berkeley Community TV station, and I managed to make it go for over an hour. I don't think I've ever made an interview go quite so long before. Anyway, the best part of the job is that the hours are 1:00pm to 9:pm, which means one of two things. A: I can sleep in every day. or B: I can do other internships or freelance work in the morning. I'm heavily rooting for a B type situation, since I don't see this job taking me anywhere that my career wants to go. But hello, government salary! And it wouldn't be a bad job either. I would be in charge of scheduling for the station, and the other people who work there are really fun. Also I would get to teach classes on how to use Final Cut, and air people's silly student films. Anyway, I really really want this job.
Also, I got a response from another guy who said he could use an editing assistant. It wouldn't be full time or anything, but it looks like my luck is turning. AND, I visited an editorial/motion graphics company in San Francisco today, and the lady I talked to said she would like for me to come back and intern there. I soooo hope she meant that seriously and wasn't just in a good mood at the moment. Anyway, John says we just needed to make it to November. November is when everything starts to go right again!
