OK, so it's over. Now what the hell do I do with all of the jumbled boxes of art materials and piles of papers I said I'd deal with once everything was done? For the past months, I've been so focused on finnishing the thing in front of me: the musical, assemblage, shakespeare, capstone, illuminarium, installations for Todd's class padd, assorted graduation requirements, raku, pranks... Don't get me wrong, every one of those things was awesome and I honestly wouldn't trade them for anything. I just never really looked up to see what was coming down the road more than a week ahead.
And tomorrow I'm headed up to New Hampshire to start my job. I don't feel like I got to adequately hang out and say goodbye to everybody. (Ok, I don't really say "goodbye" just "see ya.") I'm starting to feel a little like a passenger in my own life, flying by at 65 mph, not noticing the cool stuff 'till I have to look over my shoulder to see it and being unable to reach out and touch anything my the occasional leaf on a branch overhanging the road.
Enough with mataphores, it's late and I've got a lot to do tomorrow. Here's my adress for the summer if you feel so inclined to send letters or trinkets. (I'd love it if you did and I might even try to overcome my usual shittyness at staying in touch.)
