there is no way!!
sunday night i decided to go online searching for another part time job since i will only be working one day a week at honeywell. so i did what my fam suggested and that was to look for a package handling job at ups. of course i was like what the heck...ill go for it...what do i have to lose? so i fill out an application online and as soon as i was done, they set up a date for me to come in for an information session and to schedule an interview. so here i am excited as hell cuz of this happening. but at the same time im also thinking that this is no easy job and must be hard as hell. boy was i wrong. i went in last night for the info session and a tour and scheduled an interview.
well....on that tour they took us into the wearhouse where we would be working...and me saying the job is hard as hell is a COMPLETE UNDERSTATEMENT!!!! that job is like 5 hells in one! you are working constantly for 4-5 hours sweating ur ass off lifting packages of various sizes and weights loading and unloading a freight truck BY YOURSELF! and holy shit did these guys look dead. they were soaked in their own sweat and did i mention that there are very few breaks? well this does not go without saying that they do get good benefits. yay. but to do all that work for 4-5 hours and get paid 8.50 an hour and be dead tired each in every day that i would work....which would be monday through friday, btw and the midnight shift.....hells no! and to think it took me the tour to realize this. i dont need that right now. yeah the benni's did appeal to me but there is no way that i can do all that work and feel it all day everyday when i go to school full time and have another job. no way.
that and they are big in their customer service...and they dont even see them! they service their customers through re boxing when necessary and getting their packages sent and delivered on time. the time and dedication that the ups employees put into their jobs is amazing and its no wonder that they have achieved the status they have.
