Dr. M.
Dr. M is recovering from surgery. I just called the hospital to check on him since we haven't heard from his family yet (I'm sure they're busy right now). He'll be on medical leave until June 5, right before the first summer session of classes start. Talk about stress with advising students, lab grading, etc.
He is always the one to come into my office to cheer me up with a funny story; believe me there are some hilarious stories. At the university, he is THE professor to take for Physics because he makes the material fun to learn and actually cares about the students learning the information.
We're all very worried and wish him a very speedy recovery.
