Fandom note:

I am now using rule 63! (and female!/male!) to denote opposite sex interpretations of characters. Because while I will probably always use genderswap/genderbent in my head, in fandom, which is generally a queer space, they have ambiguous and unfortunate erasing connotations.

As much as I am fond of AO3's 'Alternate Universe - Gender Changes' tag, I can't be bothered to type that out whenever I'm referring to a character in that situation. So rule63! and female!/male! it is then, and I hope that the latter's intended meaning is clear enough i.e. that it's an alternate universe interpretation and not a trans* intepretation.
