Mine by Gillian Middleton - Six year old Harry. An initially reticent Snape. Yes, this is one of those Snape adopts Harry fics, but this one is adorable and it’s also well written. This first fic is a bit oddly formatted for fanfiction.net, but the sequels are much better laid out. (You should read those as well.) [HP]
Where’s my cow? - As the title might suggest, this Discworld fic does involve little!Sam and his book. It is much more hilarious and inventive than the title might suggest though, so please go read. [Discworld]
Gone for a cup of tea (back in six months) - I love male companions. As such, this is one awesome fic. (Features Mickey and Rhys from the future, seeing as the Torchwood series is set when Mickey’s in that parallel world.) [Doctor Who, Torchwood]
Perspective Shifts (or, It's All In How You Look At It) - Jack, meet the Nac Mac Feegle. They’ll give you a new perspective of life, talk to you about philosophy and steal your weevil. Well, you can only really be sure of that last one. [Torchwood, Discworld, sundry other fandoms]
Even So - Himawari is bad luck and she collects superstitions where ever she goes. Gorgeously heartbreaking ficlet about Himawari, as observed by Watanuki. [xxxHOLiC]
if I could put Time in a bottle - Written by the ever lovely incandescens, this is the Doctor Who/xxxHOLiC crossover I want to write. [Doctor Who, xxxHOLiC]
Like This - Genre - happiness. Such the truest thing ever. A lovely little OT3 ficlet full of fluff. [xxxHOLiC]
Another Day, Another Dollar - A set of three drabbles about the ever accommodating people at Jubilee pizza. Vague Cyberwoman spoilers. [Torchwood]
Somewhere to Begin - Another little DouWataHima fic, but with a little bit of darkness mixed in with the domesticity. [xxxHOLiC]
Third Month - Basically picnic cuteness with extra Kohane and a dash of Dou/Wata (but is almost so perfectly gen). [xxxHOLiC]
And Tomorrow - A CoE fix-it. Except it isn’t solely about Ianto and Jack but instead about everyone. To be fair, Ianto’s death is handwaved a little, but it waves it off in a matter of fact, ‘This Is Torchwood’, nothing much to say way, and doesn’t make a big plot point of it.  [Torchwood]
Snatches of Time (Bring Me Back, Bring Me Back) - By the same person, an Exit Wounds fix-it. Pretty and has Owen/Tosh and is adorable and also features a Doctor+Donna cameo. [Torchwood, Doctor Who]
Misunderstood - I think everyone in xxxHOLiC fandom has read this fic, or at least should. Basically, an outsider’s viewpoint on the strange relationships between characters. [xxxHOLiC]

Anal Eel Insertion Kills Man - Something that seems right out of a hentai image… old news, but a little bit hilarious.
Pokemon Life - Danbooru is… well, Danbooru, but this has to be one of the prettiest pools I’ve ever seen. The trainerless ones are usually the most spectacular. (Also, it means I don’t have to figure out which one is Sapphire and which one is Leaf/Green.)
DISGUSTING. -ly cute - In a similar vein to above, a Danbooru pool for things so cute you will go NNNNGGGHHHH over them. (Same could be said of the ‘young’ tag.)
Secret Dancer - I suppose ballet and mystery is supposed to get kids into art and art history? But seriously, this is one of the creepiest little advergames I’ve played. It might have been made a LITTLE creepier by the fact the main ‘character’ shares my name. But hey, it’s kind of pretty, even if it does kind of leave you going ‘what’.
Bromance in the mid 1800's to early 1900's as recorded in photographs - I’m very bad at including links in this edition to things I have already pointed my flist to. But this is kind of epic and everyone needs a little more slashy-ness in their lives, especially if it’s a rather interesting look into societal attitudes of past eras.
Banana equivalent dose - or yet another weird measurement. In this case, the level of exposure to radiation as compared to the radioactivity of bananas. Brazil nuts contain the highest amounts of naturally occurring radioactive material if you were wondering. Must be all that selenium.
Proportional distances solar system necklaces - Science is pretty. Especially when you can hang it off your neck.
itsy bitsy fonts - Oh, I really can’t wait until this ‘Bees Knees’ font is released.
Take Something Literally series - Link is to two, this link is to one. And oh god is it fun, being a metatextual game of sorts.
Bakumatsu Koshashin Generator - Basically a little Japanese online widget thing to make photos look old. There is an ‘English’ tab up the top, but it’s a fairly simple interface. (Well, if you can recognise the katakana for ‘upload’. Or even just for ‘ro’.)
Maude's hair, a gorgeous close up of some embroidered braided hair - Exactly what it says in the link text. There’s also a bonus tutorial link.
Somewhere out there, someone is listening to porn on the train - And this is an excellent example of how awesome podfic can be. (And I will admit that sometimes I had a decent microphone, because I do sometimes like reading aloud things.)

Kokusyoku Sumire - Beautiful Violet Forever - Accordions! Violins! French cabaret style singing in Japanese! Lolita and the 1930s!
Diablo Swing Orchestra - Balrog Boogie - I think the band name should adequately describe what type of music this is. Somewhere between swing, tango, jazz, symphonic metal and folk mixed in with a dash of gothicism and I think that’s an adequate surmisal of their music style.
Dynamic systems for quadrupedal robots - Robots that can navigate on their own? Always freaky. But kind of cool nonetheless. (The leg hinging just bugs me though.)
A Little Bit More Than Half - A Biology Song - Yay for science-y geeky songs!
David Tennant and Doctor Who crew playing cards - I am not quite sure most of my flist is aware how MUCH epic card games bring back memories for me. But anyway, they’re playing last card and they apparently do this QUITE A LOT if the score sheet is anything to go by. (Also, last card, not just for kids!)
Giant Robot Lego Chess - The knight’s legs move!
S.J. Tucker - Faerie Minstrel Touring Gypsy Folk Rock Mythpunk Storyteller - I believe this artist’s music is relevant to many of my flist’s interests. Folk songs, mythological references, pagan-inspired songs, awesome musician/author partnerships? Check.

Echo Bazaar - Imagine Victorian London has been magically transported underground, somewhere near the region of Hell; that it is not ruled by the ‘Empress’ but instead the Masters of the Bazaar - a bunch of mysterious men, each with specialities… This is a game set ‘in that world. It’s storyline based, and you can either play storylets, which are static events which you can play over and over again, or opportunities, which are what they say on the tin. You have 70 actions per day and four stats, plus an optional fifth and MANY minor qualities which you can rack up. It’s fascinating and intriguing and I want to know what is actually going on. (Note: to play, one must have a twitter account.)
minus; a comic about an extraordinary girl - I really love this webcomic. It’s gorgeous in that lovely simple way and is simultaneously uplifting and bittersweet.
