Sometimes he made a game out of pulling her ribbon out of her hair without her knowledge. She always noticed however, as soon as strands of hair hit her ears.
He didn't mind when she did though. He always had fun teasing her when she tried her best to wrestle it out of his fingers.
One day, his fingers deftly slipped through her hair and pulled out his prize. Raz chuckled when Kayl let out a squeak of surprise and shot him a frustrated glare.
"It's pink," he teased as he waved her ribbon in front of her.
"Yes, it is," she said as she reached for the lace but Raz pulled it away again and held it above his head. She attempted to retrieve her ribbon again but as always, his height was a clear advantage.
Raz watched as her hands dropped to her side as she sighed. She lifted her head and flashed him a smile as she closed the distance between the two of them. Her movement surprised him but he made sure that it didn't show on his face.
"Well if you won't give it back then-" Her hand slipped past his cheek and easily unfastened the knot of the ribbon that held his ponytail. His eyes widened as his hair unraveled unevenly around against his neck.
"I'll just take yours," she hummed as she tied the ribbon into her hair to make a loose ponytail. She directed a giggle at his shocked face and played with his hair until it was to her liking. "I still prefer mine though."
