My last cigarette was at 3 am Yesterday. I have been smoke-free for 30 hours.
It's weird, when I start to feel I want a smoke, I have a piece of gum instead, but I still have the urge to sit outside every couple of hours. I actually felt a little lost yesterday when it happened. I hope it won't take too long to get over that.
I haven't driven anywhere yet. That's going to be a big deal. I always smoke when I drive. I know the habit is going to be the hardest thing to fight. I've been smoking for 20 years! Of course, it's probably the worst week to start this too. I figure though, if I can get through PMS without a smoke I'm golden. :)
I probably won't be posting about it too much, even this little bit is making me antsy. Probably why I could never understand the 12 step thing, if I talk about it, I want to do it.
Maybe I'll post an update once a week. The gum is a 12 week program; after 12 weeks I'll be completely nicotine-free. YAY!
