Ok, ranting about campus crusade for christ and anyone else like them...
1. hate their stupid sidewalk messages...
2. I'm atheist...
3. I hate people like them...
Ok, don't get me wrong, I'm not against religion, I think the morals it instills in today's society is worth it, and tis a good guideline for people who need one. I think some people need religion, cuz they wouldn't know what to do with out it, cuz some people couldn't get through life with out believing in something... even if its not real. its all a psychological thing.
But I hate these damn evangelists and people who are all like "Jesus loves you, he died for you" like we fuckin owe him, some character in a damn book, our lives... bullshit. Im not against god in the pledge, or in any legal documents or what not... doesn't effect me, I don't have to read it every day, I don't have to deal with it on a daily basis. not my problem. Its the people who write shit, or have the bumper stickers talking about how you should be saved, or how you can find jesus, all that blah blah blah bullshit. If people wanted to be saved, or wanted to go to church, find jesus, whatever, they can do it by themselves, they don't need to be told to. Downtown greenville... some ass in a suit was handing out fliers about jesus or something stupid like that... at 1 or 2 in the morning... THE MORNING... do these people have anything better to do?
How would these people like me advertising or writing anti christian messages all over the place, passing out stuff denouncing their god. exactly, they wouldn't... If I were to do something like that, I'd be considered a bad person, I'd need to be saved, It'd be offensive... but when its the other way around its just dandy. which is bullshit. These damn jesus freaks and evangelists need to step down from their damn soap box and stop preaching, cuz not everyone wants to hear it. Not everyone believes in your damn god...
Ok, Im not forceful with my opinion's, and I don't think atheist should be, neither should religious people, but thats never gonna change. alot of them think they're better than me cuz they have a belief, they believe in something higher, they've been saved. They're religion is more corrupt than I could ever be or aspire to be.
What gets me is the people who assume Im a bad person when the find out im atheist, or that I believe in satan (hate them more than I hate evangelist) which im not very vocal about being atheist, it shows through sometimes, but I try not to make it public too often. I mean, I love debating over beliefs with people, like me and my mom will have at it jokingly, cuz she's catholic and im atheist, so I always give her a hard time. Like I pointed out the coincidence that if you rearrange the letters in SANTA that it spells SATAN... she didn't find that as funny or ironic as I did ;p. I've even had a more recent debate with brad, no hard feelings, it was fun. But if I was to ever get in an arguement with someone from CCFC or some super christian person I'd not be able to do it. I'd get the urge to punch them.
Oh well, Im done with my ranting... comment if you want, tell me how wrong I am, or whatever... doubt this is gonna spur many good responses, but who cares at this moment... I leave you with this song... enjoy.
