The Mac is Back!

After what seemed like forever and a day, my iMac is back! Although some of my data was corrupted I didn't lose anything that was especially important, mostly just photos and movies, but my entire four years of unbacked up graphic design files (including my portfolio) made it. I'm still having some software problems and my keyboard hates life but I'm too happy to have it back in working condition to deal with it right now. My most favourite drawing of this year so far made it too, completely unscaved.

I once had a dream where I had caused him a lot of pain, we were basically both tortured and left for dead. There was nothing I could do, no Hollywood super strength scene, no amount of bargaining and pleading, but I could hear him screaming the entire dream. Without going into too much detail, I'll probably post the short story later, we were saved in the end. He was thrown in a different car and I was rushed out in the opposite direction. My dream a few days later brought us together again. I unlocked the door to my apartment and made my way through the front of the house towards the livingroom in the back. He was sitting on the couch in front of me, looking just as beat up as I did. I fell to my hands and knees in front of him and started to cry, apologizing and thanking god for his life in a jumbled mess of words. He picked me up off the floor and just held me, tighter than I've ever been held and whispered in my ear. He then turned on the stereo and we began to dance, right there in the livingroom, still clamped tightly in his arms, crying deep into his chest.

This drawing is from that moment, it's titled Dancing. Named for both the action and the song we danced too.
