Apple/Woolworths Logo Fight

Apple is trying to fight Woolworths from changing their logo because they say that their classic "bite of the apple" logo is being ripped off by Woolworths.

What do you think?

I don't think look anything a like. Just because its an apple with a leaf doesn't mean its too similar to Apple's logo. The Woolworth's logo is OBVIOUSLY a "w" in the shape of an apple not an apple with a bite out of it.

On a side note...There is a grocery store in Florida where I use to live that is called the Apple Market. I believe that store have been around WAAAAY longer than Apple and the grocery store's logo is an actual apple with a bite out of it. So if this store had that logo first, who gets the copy right?

Usually there is no legal conflict as long as the organizations are in different industries and there is no likelihood that the logos can cause confusion. I'm still trying to figure out how Apple and Woolworth's markets are similar enough, though…

Ummm...I don't know. Its not like I would go to Woolworth's to buy an iMac. Of course, if I took one look at Woolworths I would know they aren't affiliated with Apple. That is just me though.

Because Woolworths can slap their new logo on their electronic products. At least that seems to be one of Apple's main complaints.
