gradient mesh - o - rama
So Draw a circle, then draw a smaller one and place it behind the first...
give them both the default fill and stroke.
Pathfinder>Minus back...

Now try to put a gradient mesh on that "O" shape...NO WORKING FOR ME!!!
Appearance Panel says it's a compound path, so you release the compound path and it makes it two circles again....GRRRR
I want a shape that has a hole in it to take gradient meshes, but apparently all shapes with holes in them are Compound Paths....blah.
Anyone, thoughts, ideas?
