Here is what it looks like in Opera, sasha. I can't see a damn thing.

The thing is, when you coder states that it does work in anything but IE, do they realize that when IE7 comes out (which will be soon and users will be forced to upgrade via WIndows Update) that this layout will no longer work?

IE will be going to a W3 compliant rendering engine which means that the standards that have been set for webpages to be viewable in all browsers will now be coded into IE7 - pages that "only" work in IE previous to version 7 will not work in version 7. If your coder states this will only work in IE, is it because of IE's junk coding or is it because the coder has not looked for help on either an Opera forum or Firefox forum to see how to code it to be viewable in all browsers? (in other words, is the coder being lazy?? ;)) You can see how atrocious it looks in Opera and it is completely non-functional - you cannot see the comment links or much of anything else.

If it wasn't for the fact that I view this from my friends page and that you and I bump into each other a lot in different communites, I wouldn't be a member here. Webpages that do not display in Opera do not get visited by me. Even in regards to online purchasing or banking - if it doesn't display in Opera or support Opera (which means it's not coded as W3 compliant) then I take my business elsewhere. I refuse to use IE because of its numerous security leaks and suseptability to virii and trojans. I don't have to worry about all that in Opera at all.

Just my two cents and letting you know why I've mentioned this to you before. Very soon this layout will not work in IE either. Hope you are able to come up with a solution that will satisfy everyone, you included! And hopefully I sound more helful then trying to bitch. Just trying to help you avoid issues with it in the very near future.

I'm sure she didn't know.

I agree about IE. I do sometimes use it. But, I use netscape.
