You'll go on being exactly the same person you are now. Going to college doesn't mean that your beliefs will change. And it will only be hard to say no if you let these feelings get to you. If you think that drinking and other crap is stupid and useless then keep thinking that and don't let anyone change your mind. If you do start to get tempted just glance over at the girl puking her brains out cuz she drank too much or the potheads sitting in a cloud of smoke contemplating the meaning of string.

don't worry. it's not hard to be around people who do these things and not do them yourself, i did it for years until i felt that i actually had the faith in myself to know my limits and not be stupid. keep in mind that laughing at drunk people and screwing around with high people is loads of fun.
but at the same time you have to realize that your views might change. don't put a pox on those who use these things, theyre not only bad. if you know your limits and are smart about what you do and don't do there's nothing wrong with it, and if you come to think that you may want to try it don't toss out the idea without consideration. believe it or not what screws someone elses life up could save yours.

not quite what i meant :-P but that would be a little entertaining. cocaine is an anesthetic. but for instance, someone gets cancer, is in a lot of pain, becomes depressed/suicidal. smokes weed for the pain. feels less pain. becomes less depressed, hangs on, hey guess what remission! its happened.
