I am house-sitting and have downloaded 'City Of Death' so that I can write the Ten/Romana epic properly if anyone still cares for my GIFless rambles. Aw, the newwho fandom's all grown-up with these rows.
Oh Aggers and Marks and rain, how I love thee. It's hard to describe the rambling and gossip and weird humour of it (and especially hard to explain to non-fans). Maybe I'll try to mp3ise a small section, hom, should be possible.
I am, surprisingly, NOT going to Geneva. I have a feeling that too many actual teachers applied for the job, desperate for a holiday. Sue said it was probably my telephone interview technique. She is visiting tonight despite having a row with me on the phone about houses and jobs and, well, mainstream culture. I am still a bit anti-consumerism and don't feel the need, as a spinster, to work eighty hours a week just to get a mortgage. I'm not even sure I want a bigger flat (although one without attic-slanted windows would be nice. Ooh, and a washing-machine. And a garden. Dammit. Well, maybe a little balcony.)
So I won't be watching DW live this week, as I will be in Warrington with a bunch of engineers, theoretically partying but probably watching old 'Top Gear' episodes if it's anything like last year. Also I still haven't written my bloody research proposal. I dreamed I was in prison and kept asking for writing-paper, which is a joke as I never bloody write anything.
