for some reason I really want to blog again, but I don't want to write a novel about my life story. I wonder if there's a question meme around I can use? Also there's something about LJ that makes me afraid I'm going to do nothing but mope.

ASK ME ABOUT AUSTRIA AND MY INSANE GRE PLAN AND HOW I STILL FANGIRL POLITICS IN A NON-SERIOUS WAY.

In Austria, they seem to have bread with everything instead of any other carb. Bread bread bread. And their 'cheese and tomato' pizza has mystery surprise sausage in it.

The GRE is one of the main exams for getting into American post-graduate courses. They have a 'Literature In English' specialist exam that you do in a centre in London. I don't want to do an American postgrad course, but I do like the idea of a ridiculously hard exam in English Lit, especially as it involves lots of American poetry I haven't studied yet.

So you're going to take the entrance exam, but not do the course, just for fun?

That _does_ sound insane. In a good way :->

It does sound refreshingly mental, put like that :D But I can't face the idea of doing another A-Level and there's a faint faint chance it might catch the eye of someone handing out free British PhDs.

Mind you, I've heard some astronomical sums tossed around for some of these American grad-school courses, so you never know.
